A thirsty person needs only water to quench his thirst as no other substance would make him free from thirst(Daaham).
Jalam(water) points out to Jhnanam.
Accordingly a spiritual seeker who is thirsty of Brahma Jhnanam should adopt the methodology as adopted by GuruDeva Hanuman during Samudra Langhanam in order to have Mata SIta Darsanam who is Brahma Jhnana Swarupini as Ayonija/ Prakruti Jhnana Swarupini/Prajhnana Swarupini.
As a first step a spiritual seeker in search of Brhama Jhnanam should shed down personal ego(Ahamkaram) by treating himself as a tool in the hands of the Almighty as declared by Sri Hanuman by equating himself to Sri Rama Baanam..
Secondly the seeker should overpower hunger and rest as they are the needs of Deham/Jhadam(body) by according the top most priority to Brahma Jhnana Praapti in mind due to the paucity of time because death is nearing day by day especially in old age. The truth behind this is that hunger(Kshuda) induces Kaamam(desire) and Kaamam if not fulfilled induces Krodham(anger). Krodham if not controlled controls the mind of that person. So having given top most priority to acquisition of Absolute knowledge one should over power hunger and body rest so as to destroy Kamam and Krodham. This is the spiritual significance behind observing fasting (Upa Vaasam and Jaagarana).
Thirdly one should shut down Deha Moham(association with Deham) as done by GuruDeva Hanuman while defeating Surasa who came down to test Gurudeva i Hanuman (embodiment of Brahma Jhnanam). Brahma Jhnanam is beyond any attribute(Gunam) like shape and size etc. Accordingly Sri Hanuman transformed into a very small form when Surasa had transformed in to a very big form and thus enlightens us to shed down Deha Abhimaanam as Deham is Anityam and as a mortal thing(Jadham), it is subjected to shape and size and decay where as Absolute Knowedlege is Sukshmaati Sukshmam as well as Sthuulaati Sthulam and thus it is beyond any attribute/qualification.
Fourthly Sri Hanuman killed the demon Chaaya Graahi Simhika and Simhika signifies Jiva Bhaavam/Jivaatma Buddi. Jiva Bhaavam(personal feeling) is Mithya Bhaavam because individual feeling means Pratyeka Bhaavam(Prati Eka Bhaavam) which implies some thing different from Ekam(Eswara). As nothing else exists other than Eswara(Adviteeyam and Nityam and Satyam), the seeker should stop feeling that he is different from others so as to see Eswara in all Bhutamulu(beings).

The mind is a great storyteller, but what it tells are just stories, not realities

Some people narrate stories with such animation and emotion that they completely captivate their audiences. While we may appreciate their storytelling expertise, we won't assume that whatever stories they tell are true.

Unfortunately, we make this questionable assumption with regards to our inner storyteller, our mind. On seeing an attractive object, it starts a story about how we could enjoy that object. Or on seeing a swelling on our hand, it starts a horror story about how we might have terminal cancer. When the mind gets infected by the mode of ignorance, it stubbornly tells and retells terrible stories filled with fear, lamentation and moroseness (Bhagavad-gita 18.35).

If we look back at times when we were agitated, we will notice that the situations themselves were not that agitating; the mind's stories about those situations were far more agitating. But because the mind told those stories so captivatingly, we forgot to even consider if its stories reflected actual realities.

How can we protect ourselves from such needless agitation? By treating the mind as we would treat someone known to spin fanciful yarns. If we noticed them grandstanding, we wouldn't spend much time hearing their stories – especially if we had something important to do.

For treating the mind with such conscientious neglect, Gita wisdom provides us strong impetus by revealing that we are souls, parts of Krishna, and that he has a glorious plan for us. We can play our part in his plan by practicing bhakti-yoga and doing all our activities in a mood of service to him..

When we connect steadily with Krishna, he gives us the intelligence to become an objective observer of our mind. By thus focusing on the actual realities, not on the mind's stories, we can come up with appropriate responses.

Forms of worship, or the phraseology of adoration, or the style of address may vary, but all religions are directed towards the same consummation. The same bloodstream circulates in all the limbs of the body. The same divine stream activates the entire Universe. Visualise that supreme Architect, that incomprehensible Designer, that unseen Lifegiver. This is spoken of as the realisation of the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man. Do not get entangled in the business of living. In your struggle for survival and success, do not forget the God that made life possible. Sow the seeds of love, after preparing the soil of your heart by removing the weeds. Watered by faith, let them grow and yield the blossoms of fortitude (sahana). Then you are assured of the fruit - Shanti or peace. This is the task, this is the duty - this has to be your vow!

A thirsty person needs only water to quench his thirst as no other substance would make him free from thirst(Daaham). Jalam(water) points out to Jhnanam.
Accordingly a spiritual seeker who is thirsty of Brahma Jhnanam should adopt the methodology as adopted by Guru Deva Hanuman during Samudra Langhanam in order to have Mata Sita Darsanam who is Brahma Jhnana Swarupini as Ayonija/ Prakruti Jhnana Swarupini/Prajhnana Swarupini.
As a first step a spiritual seeker in search of Brhama Jhnanam should shed down personal ego(Ahamkaram) by treating himself as a tool in the hands of the Almighty as declared by Sri Hanuman by equating himself to Sri Rama Baanam at the start of journey to Lanka. This Hrudaya Bhaavam implies that Prabhu Rama is Karta and the Sakti required during the journey is Prabhu Rama Sakti and the beneficiary of the journey is Prabhu Rama.
Secondly the seeker should overpower hunger and rest as they are the needs of Deham/Jhadam(body) by according the top most priority to Brahma Jhnana Praapti in mind due to the paucity of time because death is nearing day by day especially in old age. The truth behind this fact is that hunger(Kshuda) induces Kaamam(desire) and Kaamam if not fulfilled induces Krodham(anger). Krodham if not controlled controls the mind of that person. So having accorded top most priority to acquisition of Absolute knowledge in mind , one should over power hunger and body rest so as to destroy Kamam and Krodham. This is the spiritual significance behind observing fasting (Upa Vaasam and Jaagarana).
Thirdly one should shut down Deha Moham(association with Deham) as done by GuruDeva Hanuman while defeating Surasa who came down to test the spiritual ability of Gurudeva Hanuman . Brahma Jhnanam is beyond any attribute(Gunam) like shape and size etc. Accordingly Sri Hanuman underwent transformation into a very small form when Surasa had transformed herself in to a very big form and thus Sri Hanuman enlightens us to shed down Deha Abhimaanam as Deham is Anityam and as a materialistic thing (Jadham), it is subjected to shape and size and decay where as the Absolute Knowledge is Sukshmaati Sukshmam as well as Sthuulaati Sthulam and thus it is beyond Sukshmam and Sthuulam and thus it is beyond any attribute. Thus as enlightened by Brhama Jhnanam, the seeker develops Nirlakshya Bhaavam(attitude of neglect) towards Deham(body) and conquers Madam(haughtiness) and would be mentally free from the strongest bond/link namely Deham. Thus the seeker would be free from the clutches of Moham also.
Fourthly Sri Hanuman killed the demon Chaaya Graahi Simhika and Simhika signifies Jiva Bhaavam/Jivaatma Buddi. Jiva Bhaavam(personal feeling) is Mithya Bhaavam/Prati Bimba Bhaavam because individual feeling means Pratyeka Bhaavam(Prati Eka Bhaavam) which implies that something else exists which is different from Ekam(Eswara). As nothing else exists other than Eswara(Adviteeyam and Nityam and Satyam), the seeker should stop feeling that he is different from others. Having thus been from Jivaatma Buddi (Ajhnanam) , the seeker relinquishes all relations and would be free from Lobham and starts seeing/treating others like himself and thus there would be no scope for him to come under the influence of Maatsaryam(jealousy) . Thus as enlightened by Brahma Jhnana Drushthi/Sama Darsanam, the seeker sees Eswara in Sarva Bhutamulu (beings)
