Rama Namam is Anantam(infinite in time and space). Any Namam has a limited count and has a limited time span unlike Rama Namam.
Man is a social animal. People belonging to the four Aasramulu are inter dependent. Evan a great person who embraced Sat Nyasam has to depend on a Gruhastu for Biksha. More over a man can not lead a life in loneliness unless he is a Mukta Karma Chayadu(great philosopher) like Suka Yogi.
keeping the above facts in mind, people exchange their good wishes through saying Jai Ramji Ki when they meet each other and also send their good wishes to their relatives and friends through the common friends/relatives by asking them to convey Ram Ram Kahana in the form of a greeting message.
Also during Antima Yatra of a dead person that is during the transition period of a Jiva from Iha Lokam to Para Lokam. people loudly say Ram Nam Sach Hai for the benefit of a Jiva who is on his way to Para Lokam and for the people around who are alive.
All the above facts prove beyond doubt that Rama Namam is very much relevant and of paramount importance whether a person is alive or dead. Hence Rama Namam is Anantam and Rama Bhakti Pradaayakam when a person is alive and Mukti Pradaayakam when a person is leaving the Deham(body).

Keeping the above facts in mind, people live in a society and exchange their good wishes through saying JAI RAMJI KI when they meet each other and also send their good wishes to their relatives and friends who are away through the common friends/ relatives when they meet them. The greeting message being sent through the common friends/ relatives is to convey to them to remember Prabhu Rama as RAM RAM KAHANA.

Rama Nama Amrutam is a Prasaadam as blessed by Eswara in the capacity as Taaraka Mantram. Guru Daivam Hanuman as Rama Nama Amruta Pradaata holds the Kalasam (Utensil) containing Rama Rasaayanam in one of his ten hands of Pancha Mukha Swrupam. Maharshi Narada and Srimad Ramayana Kavi Kokila Valmiki had Rama Nama Amruta Paanam. As per the words of Sat Guru Goswamy Tulasidas even Prabhu Rama never knew the power of Rama Namam. One cannot afford to forget Rama Namam even in dreams according to a great saint Sri Rama Dasu. Rama Namam is the greatest Sat Nidhi out of all treasures that one can imagine in the words of a great saint Tyagaraja. The power of Rama Nama Japam was the source of inspiration for Maha Bhagavata Rachana by a great devotee of Prabhu Rama by name Potanamyatya. Rama Namam gives Rama Bhakti (devotion) which empowers a devotee to fly like a free bird with Absolute Jhnanam and Vairagyam as its wings in Chidaakaasam/Chidaanandam. Accordingly Rama Namam is Anantam/ Amrutam and Rama Bhakti Pradaayakam when a person is alive and Mukti Pradaayakam when a person has left the Deham (body) for his Para Loka Yatra.

Rug (1.1.1) "Agni Meele Purohitam, Yagnasya Deva Mrutyujam, Hotaram Ratna Dhatadam" 
Agni is not mere fire but He is representative of  Eashwara/the Omniscient 
Agni is Yagnya purohit (priest), "Oh Agni we worship you, you are ruthvija of gods, Agni is hota, (hota is one who calls devatas to the venue of yagnya for offering havissu/oblation). He is giver/donor (dhatadam) of all wealth (ratna)". Note that ruthvija and hota are yagna purohits

(The above one is a great thinking for action for unity with similar aims)

Rug (7th Mandala 59.12) and Yaju (3rd Ch., 60th verse) where " Trayambakam Yajamahe……verse is included....yamamrutat"
The verse explains about leaving the material body (Dehaanth) as easily as a ripened cucumber gets separated from its stem and reaching moksha hereafter. 
In this  prayer of people, sin-punya tie/bandham/aadhar is absent.. ---------------- 
Rug 1.16 "Dvaasuparna sayujaa sakhya samaanam  vriksham paripaswa jaathe,Yoryaha,vippalam, swaadhyaa dvaathya sapanna nyo,abhichaaka sheethi"
On a tree, two birds are sitting side by side. One is eating fruit and another is simply watching.               
The implied meaning is the revelation of relation between individual consciousness and thought. Here tree is one's body, the  bird is eating  is thought, eating fruits of labour and second one is consciousness,wisdom. Thought is involved in all the worldly activities, whereas consciousness is a mere witness of the activities. Here note the well known "SAT,CHIT ANAND or Truth Consciousness (or choice less awareness), Bliss.

O varuna deva, please accept my invitation,  release me from custody, I am praying you for protection of life. This is the request of Shunasshepa.. Varuna god obliged his request and released him from custody

About water veda says "yaasaan raja varunoyaati, madhye satyaanrute,  avapashyam janaanaam, madhu shchutha, shuchauo yaah pavaka stana aapah shyam syona bhavanti"
Varuna is the king of water. He judges truths-untruths, he is amidst water and that water rains on us with sweet  drops and makes us clean and pious, he blesses us

"Om ishi thvorne vayanasthya…yaajamaanya pashoonsahi"   
It is composed of 4 padas (charanas) and tells that the universe creator is all pervsasive, spread everywhere and describes His qualities. It advises to perform good karmas. Humans to request him to bestow knowledge, parakramam (shourya), energy, wealth and other comforts. He is to be prayed to protect from bad people and thieves, do not kill cows and pray Him to protect them

Rug---[10-059] HYMN LIX. Nirrti and Others. This Rug 10th Kanda(5th, 6th , 7th(mainly)  on Rebirth/Punarjanma

1. His life has been renewed and carried forward as two men, car-borne, by the skilful driver. One falls, then seeks the goal with quickened vigour. Let Nirrti depart to distant places.2. Here is the psalm for wealth and food, in plenty: let us do many deeds to bring us glory. All these our doings shall delight the singer. Let Nirrti depart to distant places.3. May we overcome our foes with acts of valour, as heaven is over earth, hills over lowlands. All these our deeds the singer hath considered. Let Nirrti depart to distant places.4. Give us not up as prey to death, O Sorna still let us look upon the Sun arising. Let our old age with passing days be kindly. Let Nirrti depart to distant places.5. O Asuniti, keep the soul within us, and make the days we have to live yet longer. Grant that we still may look upon the sunlight: strengthen thy body with the oil we bring thee.6. Give us our sight again, O Asuniti, give us again our breath and our enjoyment. Long may we look upon the Sun uprising; O Anumati, favour thou and bless us.7. May Soma give us once again our body and Pusan show the Path of peace and comfort.      From the above, it is evident that in Vedas we do not find references to rebirths based on past karma fruits/sins.The god is prayed to give the body, longer life, fresh air, soma for vigour, enjoyment, eyes etc.

Soul lived earlier in bodies-Enter Womb of mother for next Janma; 
"Aayo(yah=which) Dharmani (perfortming dharma)prathama sasaada(getting), thatho (thathaha=that) papoonshi (faces) krunushe(to do) purooni (many), Dhasyu ronim (yonim=Yoni) prathamam aa vivesha(entering)aa(yah) vaacham(talk) anudithaam(revealed) chiketha (person who knew)" 
Soul in the present body existed in earlier janmas in other bodies.The same soul enters first into womb of a woman to take rebirth and slowly learns/understands the unspoken words

"Punarmaithvi indriyam (indrathvam=god) punaraathma (again the aathma), dravinam (wealth/money)brahmanam (veda knowledge) cha (and), punar(other janmas) agnayo (scholars) dhishnya yathasthama(at proper place) kalpayanthaami (becomes efficient) haiva" Oh god, let me get sense organs, strength, money and knowledge and I perform divine karmas. Always enable me to grow with prosperity. The soul in me now, lived prior to bodies and limbs that uphold powers and through them assume various bodies, first enter into the womb of mother and slowly understand the unspoken words 
You do not find rebirth related to past janmas Karma
