The meaning of Swa Bhaavam in English is Nature.
Nature means Prakruti also .
Prakruti as a composition Tri Gunamulu (Satva Gunam, Rajo Gunam and Tamo Gunam) and Tri Saktulu( Icchha Sakti,Jhnana Sakti and Kriya Sakti) is Eswari Rupam.
Mata Eswari is Tushthi Rupini as well as Kshuda Rupini within us.
Accordingly, if a spiritual seeker starts treating the dual aspects of the world alike like Kshuda(hunger) and Tushthi (satisfaction) etc as same and makes this mental attitude as his nature(Tavam) , then his Buddi(intellect) transforms in to Bhavaani Rupam.
Thus when his Buddi embraces Absolute Jhnanam, he enters Swa Sthiti/Atma Sthti/ Ananda Sthiti

Absolutely there is no difference between the experiences as felt by mind in Swapna Avashtha(dream state) and the experiences as felt by mind in Jaagrath Avashtha(waken state) because both are unreal. There is no doubt regarding the unreal nature of the experiences as felt in Swapna Avashtha (dream state). The second type of experiences as felt by mind in the waken state are also unreal because the sensual experiences/worldly experiences are connected with Sareeram(body) and Sareeram is Anityam (temporary). It is obvious that Anityam is same as Asatyam.
If a person can nullify the effects of the sensual experiences/worldly experiences for example by treating Kshuda(hunger) as same as Samtushthi (Satisfaction) and by having the same feeling in both the cases then that experience is true.

There are two obstacles which prevents spiritual progress despite your valuable efforts. The first is the tendency to compare yourself with others. This is very wrong. No two individuals are identical. Even identical twins grow in distinct ways. Billions of human beings are on the earth, but which is the press which has given each of them a novel imprint? This is God's glory. God creates every individual, with their distinct nature, quality, potentiality and destiny. How then can anyone compare themselves with another and either exult or despair? How can you be proud that you are better than others? Second obstacle is, we are in the habit of justifying our faults, rationalising our errors and avoiding the responsibility of facing them squarely and correcting them. These two attitudes thicken one's ignorance and breed further failings. Everyone has God as the Source. Remember that all are kith and kin, through God from Whom we have come!

Intelligence means to understand how the mind makes us misunderstand

Suppose we are driving a car and our rear-view mirror gives us a distorted picture, making a proximate car appear distant. If we turn around and see the car touching us, we can understand how our rearview mirror is misleading us.

Our mind is like that mirror. It makes us see things wrongly. It may make us see others wrongly – when what they are doing circumstantially annoys us, the mind makes us believe that they are intentionally irritating us. It may make us see ourselves wrongly – just because we are struggling to give up a bad habit, it makes us believe that we are hopelessly addicted. And most damagingly, it may make us see God wrongly – just because our prayers are not answered as per our expectations, it makes us believe that God is uncaring or even non-existent. All these are serious mind-induced distortions that can dishearten and disempower us.

To see things properly, we need to see them not through our mind, but through scripture. The Bhagavad-gita depicts how Arjuna's mind distorted his perception (01.30), making him feel that he should abandon the biggest battle of his life (01.46). But hearing the Gita's message equipped his intelligence to see things properly and then to see how his mind was distorting things, thereby restoring his composure (18.73).

Just as the Bhagavad-gita helped Arjuna to understand how his mind was making him misunderstand, the Gita can also help us to get that understanding. Thus, with our intelligence when we become more alert to catch our mind whenever it starts making us misunderstand, then we can act vigilantly to correct that misunderstanding by taking shelter of scripture and the indwelling source of scriptural wisdom – Krishna. Then, we can drive purposefully and successfully through our life-journey towards the destination of enduring happiness.
